"Uncle Joe" has got to go! And take "Karen" with you!

Sometimes, its best to avoid getting into heated political debates whether it's shitposting on community threads, at the "Water cooler”, and sometimes I at PN, can't help but call out the bullshit of these elected officials. You know whenever you're running for office, you will be vetted, observed and above all else, scrutinized! So, that leads us to Presidential candidate Joe Biden who is known for gaffs and a few a few other things! Recently, while having a one on one interview via Zoom with this opportunist "Charlemagne tha God", Big mouth Joe in his cavalier abrupt manner said, "if you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump, then you ain't black." Now that's a very hypocritical comment  coming from one who was the architect of  "Biden's Law" otherwise known as the 1994 Crime Bill, which unfairly targeted Blacks for drug possession, invoking harsher sentences whereas Whites who used Cocaine especially

Some Gave All: My list of memorable deaths and sacrifices in Pop Culture.

Memorial day is fast approaching and while many viewed this sacred holiday as a means to kickstart their Summer vacations,( well, not so much due to the Coronavirus pandemic.) others take the time to reflect and reminisce about the sacrifices made by Men and Women within the armed forces, have made in the name of freedom and democracy...while we still have it. In honor of Memorial' Day, here are my picks of fictional characters who made the selfless call for the greater good! Terminator 2 T-800 While the first Terminator film involved the T-800 model mercilessly killing anyone who gets between him and his intended target, Sarah Connor, in this sequel, things took a different, albeit unique term. After finally destroying the liquid Cyborg T-1000, the earlier model, played by "Ahhnuld" Schwarzenegger, lowered himself in a vat of molten steel, in order to prevent any chances of having his CPU chipset reverse engineered. No one saw that coming and just when the now good guy T

Sega Saturn (1995-1988) The Little Black Engine that couldn't

It’s Memorial Day and what’s a better opportunity to remember the fallen by giving a brief retrospective of Sega Saturn’s ill-fated lifespan? Wouldja believe it has been 25 years since the Sega Saturn console launch made its way to American shores, but through erratic business decisions?  Anyone who was a gamer back in those days, will recall the shock, delight, and dismay of the once videogame giant’s foray into the 32-bit arena. Was the Saturn a failure at surprise launch and what could have been done to save it from an inevitable death? What Genesis "does", Their successor could not. To commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the 32-Bit platform's official release, this retrospective covers the highs, lows, and low blows of Sega's potentially great console-The Sega Saturn. Pop Topix: Bats and Zacs! Week of 5-18-2020

Other than Covid 19, the other big news is of course, Pop Culture news! So here's my pick of the biggest news for the week of May 18, 2020 and they're both DC related!  Every Rose has her thorn! Ruby Rose has bounced from the Batcave! After completing the first Season of CW's polarizing series, Batwoman, lead "actress" Ruby Rose has made it official via taking a permanent  leave of absence from the show citing health reasons. According to this statement made by Rose; “I have made the very difficult decision to not return to Batwoman next season,” “This was not a decision I made lightly as I have the utmost respect for the cast, crew and everyone involved with the show…I am beyond appreciative to Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Caroline Dries for not only giving me this incredible opportunity, but for welcoming me into the DC universe they have so beautifully created. Thank you Peter Roth and Mark Pedowitz and the teams at Warner Bros. and The CW who put so much

Telling it like it is.

Say it ain't so! Howard pulls a "Darth Vader" on  Emperor Trump! (Return of the Jedi reference.) Y'know, my friends and I were avid listeners of Howard Stern's radio show since the mid-nineties, when he broadcasted his often lurid and controversial show on KROQ. While many, including myself, found Mr.Stern to be vulgar, crass and even racist, we couldn't help but subscribe to his daily broadcasts because everyone was wondering,   what out of the wall shit would he say next?   Personally, I found a lot of his commentaries about society, was brutally honest if not off putting. I can respect that and on top of those traits, the guest interviews and radio skits were entertaining as fuck!   Howard was the first radio personally to speak his mind, regardless of any repercussions which helped to coin the catchphrase, “Shock Jock". His influence spawned imitators like Don Imus, Rush Limbaugh, Mancow and a few other sub-par plebs.   He may

Welcome to The Chopping Block, a miniseries dedicated to television shows that showed great potential but were cancelled way too soon before reaching their pinnacle of perfection. In honor of its 50 th Anniversary, here is a retrospective of UFO; a phenomenal science fiction series, gone way too soon! UFO (1969–1970) What happens when you broadcast a series that comes off like some hybrid of S.H.I.E.L.D meets The X-Files? Well, that would be the British Sci Fi cult series UFO of course. The Premise   Developed by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson (Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet), UFO chronicles the exploits of a highly secret military organization is set up in the hope of defending the Earth from alien threats. In the future, Mankind is threatened by an alien race who kidnap and kill humans for use of body parts. The secret organization commissioned to stop the Aliens is named SHADO (Supreme Headquarters Alien Defence Organization) and operates from a secret location beneat
